Seed Collector Vase

Stoneware ceramic double vase in a warm yellow terracotta color. The horns on top hold on to connected metal chains, and the 3D frames on each half of the vase are painted with white slip as a base and then either rhye or wheat has been painted in each with black underglaze. The frame itself gets a coat of gunmetal dipglaze and transparent after bisque.
The vase "Seed Collector" is inspired by the fields and crops of rural Denmark, where i grew up amongst planes of wheat swaying in the wind. The vase is reminicent of a trophy, but also has an ominous presence that isn't so celebratory.
